Let's imagine a world with no commissions, you would be able to scan the world of stocks
and just by looking for value, you can buy a basket of them looking to skim 50 bucks from all.
Just small little buys that you can let run or add to. You
could start out buying just 100 bucks worth, and skim 10 bucks, or if they start running against you,
Martingale up to 350, then 1000...

Bought a single family home in the Chicago suburbs with a partner. The home peaked out several years ago at 1.9 mil. so since market will be up for the next 3 years and the fact that it was a foreclosure, we may make anywhere from 400-800k.

Question for Kevin.
If I'm understanding your method, June 23 2016 would have you long Xiv since it went over 5, but on June 24-27 you would have entered or stayed out of market until it went above 5 again. You would have taken a 33% hit.
You're ok with that?

If you read what I wrote, I also look for a second confirmatory signal, specifically that the front month (F2/F1) contango be above the midterm (F7/F4) contango - you can see on vixcentral.com that this does not occur until 6/30. So I would have been out at the close on 6/10 (XIV price at $29.59) and not re-entered until the close on 6/30 (XIV price at $25.94).
